These forms are
offered in pdf form for printing out or you may copy the pages into a
Word document to fill out for your individual characters. They are
geared at helping you get to know your characters better or for
keeping track of the roles of the various characters in your books.
Feel free to shorten or lengthen them into forms that work for your
purpose.
The character sketch
can be used to help you see a detailed view of your protagonist or
antagonist. It is also available in
printable pdf form for you
to use every time you develop a new character.
The
Character Diamond is aimed at helping you build your character and
plot together. The Character
Diamond form is available for you to fill out for your own
characters and plot. It is also available in
pdf form for easy printing and multiple uses.
A Character
List form is an easy way to keep track of all the characters in
your novel. It keeps track of the heroine and hero as well as the
villain and secondary characters. You can also use it to keep
track of characters you might use once or twice. If you called
the bartender at your hero's favorite pub Joe in Chapter 3, you won't
want to call him Jack in Chapter 12. Just jot down the name and look
it up later. It also helps so that you can look quickly and see that
you aren't naming your characters in a manner that is confusing. Too
many Joe's, Jack's, Jim's, John's and Jan's can make a reader toss
down the book in dismay.

plotting and marketing forms, please go to the general
