Forms

Forms are always helpful to get you started or to keep track of your work. Over the years we have developed a number of tried and true valuable forms that we find ourselves using over and over in a variety of ways.

Please feel free to print them out and use them. We have found that not every form works the same way twice and while a good many authors or teachers offer their own forms, it is sometimes easier to develop your own based on simple models.

For that reason you may want to download these forms into your own word processing program and revise them to fit your own publishing needs.

You may also download the printable pdf forms so that you have them whenever you need them.

The Character Sketch is useful for keeping track of your main characters. You don't want to give your hero blue eyes in Chapter 1 and end up with brown eyes in Chapter 11. Feel free to fill in as many blanks as you need or delete the blanks that you find unnecessary. A character sketch pdf is also provided.

The Character Diamond is a method that can help you make certain your character and plot are headed in the right direction. It comprises the 4 C's, or cause, crusade, complications and change, the elements necessary for your characters and your plot. A Diamond Form is also provided for you to fill in the blanks.
